A roaring 1st birthday

A special little person in our family turned one last week so a personalised card was a must! Choosing Lawn Fawn’s Critters from the Past was easy for this card!

To include Oliver’s name I incorporated die cut letters into the background…

I used my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush pens for the very first time and coloured the dinosaurs, tree, rocks and leaves with them. I found some colours blended better together than others but overall they were easy to use and make quick work of colouring!

I used Distress Inks to create the background – I wanted to keep the colours bright and playful so didn’t add much shadow but added a few dots using a Copic marker to create a sandy floor for the letters to stand on.

I had to add a couple of Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it off, obviously (it’s not a finished card without Wink of Stella or a sequin – both if you’re lucky!).

Thanks for flying by!
